On July 14, 2018, on the Historical Stage of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia, a Gala concert of world opera stars took place, dedicated to the closing of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Among the concert participants were such opera stars as Placido Domingo, Anna Netrebko, Yusif Eyvazov, Khibla Gerzmava, Ildar Abdrazakov, Dmitry Ulyanov and others. The concert was broadcast live on Channel One.
