Debut on the stage of the Teatro San Carlo, Naples. D. Shostakovich “Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk District.”

In April 2018, Dmitry Ulyanov successfully debuted on the stage of the Naples Teatro San Carlo, performing one of the most complex bass parts of Boris Timofeevich Izmailov in D. Shostakovich’s opera “Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk” (Co-production with the National Opera of Amsterdam and the Teatro Real in Madrid) . The production director of the play was Martin Kuszczej, and the orchestra was directed by Juraj Valčuja, the chief conductor of the San Carlo Theatre. The main roles, in addition to Dmitry, were: Natalya Kreslina and Elena Mikhailenko as Katerina Izmailova, Lyudovit Lyuda as Zinovy ​​Izmailov and Ladislav Elgr as Sergei.

The performances took place on the stage of the San Carlo Theater from April 15 to 22.
