In April, the Neapolitan San Carlo Theater will offer audiences the opera “Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk” with Dmitry Ulyanov in the title role.
The performances will take place at the Teatro San Carlo from April 15 to 22. Dmitry will once again breathe life into the character of Boris Izmailov in a production that has already been a success at the Dutch Opera and Ballet Theater in Amsterdam. The stage director is Martin Kuszczej, and the orchestra will be led by Juraj Valčuja, the chief conductor of the San Carlo Theatre. The main roles will also include Natalya Kreslina and Elena Mikhailenko as Katerina Izmailova, Lyudovit Lyuda as Zinovy Izmailov and Ladislav Elgr as Sergei.
Soon Dmitry Ulyanov will perform the same role in a new production of “Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk” at the Paris National Opera.
