May 24, 2024 A traditional festive concert dedicated to the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture was held on Red Square. His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko addressed the guests and participants of the concert with welcoming words.
Orthodox spiritual chants, works by P. Tchaikovsky, N. Rimsky-Korsakov, M. . Mussorgsky and other great Russian composers.
At this concert, Dmitry Ulyanov performed Susanin’s aria from the opera “A Life for the Tsar” by M.I. Glinka. And at the end of the festive evening he performed the role of King Rene in the Finale from the opera “Iolanta” by P.I. Tchaikovsky together with soloists of the leading Moscow opera houses: Polina Shabunina (soprano), Igor Morozov (tenor), Zinaida Tsarenko (mezzo-soprano), Ksenia Dudnikova (mezzo-soprano), Gleb Peryazev (bass), Albina Latipova (soprano), Nikolai Kazansky (bass-baritone), Vladislav Chizhov (baritone), Artem Popov (tenor).
