On April 8, 2024, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, opera and pop singer Evgeny Kungurov, a wonderful baritone, colleague and fellow countryman of Dmitry, tragically died in Moscow. He was a participant in the show “The Voice”, the host of the program “Romance of Romance” on the channel “Russia-Culture”, a guest soloist of the Novaya Opera Theater, a permanent soloist of the Kaliningrad Musical Theater, and participated in many projects. But, unfortunately, he left at the peak of his creative career, in the prime of his strength and talent.
Dmitry and Evgeniy had warm and friendly relations, and this news became truly tragic and shocking both for him and for all of Evgeniy’s friends and colleagues in the opera workshop...
Farewell to Evgeny Kungurov took place today, April 11, at the Troekurovsky cemetery in Moscow, and he will be buried on April 13 in his homeland, in the village of Zarechny, Sverdlovsk region.
