Dmitry will open the 2023-2024 season in the same way as the last two years, in August 2023, going to Geneva (Switzerland) to begin rehearsals for the role of King Philip II in a new production of Verdi’s opera “Don Carlos” (conductor - Mark Minkowski, director: Lydia Steyer). The performances will take place at the Grand Theater of Geneva on September 15, 17, 21, 24, 26 and 28, 2023.
In the fall, the Moscow public will be able to see Dmitry on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater: October 11, 13 and 15 in the role of Kochubey from the opera “Mazeppa”. Also in October on the stage of MAMT named after. K.S. Stanislavsky and V.I. Nemirovich-Danchenko will host “Khovanshchina”, “Eugene Onegin” and other performances already loved by the audience with the participation of Dmitry Ulyanov.
In November, Dmitry will perform the role of Boris Godunov in the opera of the same name by M. Mussorgsky on the stage of the Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theater. YES. Hvorostovsky.
In December, Dmitry will go to Germany to begin rehearsals for the role of Tsar Dodon from the opera “The Golden Cockerel” on the stage of the Komische Oper in Berlin. Performances are scheduled for January 28, February 03, 07, March 02, 07, 09 and 20, 2024. Director - Barry Koski, conductor - James Gaffigan.
In parallel with this, Dmitry will participate in the performances of “Boris Godunov” in the title role on the stage of the Bavarian Opera in Munich (Director - Calixto Bieito, conductor - Dima Slobodenyuk). Performances will take place on January 14, 17, 19 and 21, 2024.
After the March performances in Berlin, Dmitry immediately flies to Beijing (China) to begin rehearsals for the role of Daland in the production of R. Wagner's opera The Flying Dutchman.
