We present to your attention the announcement of the new season of Dmitry Ulyanov!
Dmitry will open the 2021-2022 season in August of this year, going to Geneva (Switzerland) to begin rehearsals for the role of Kutuzov in a new production of S. Prokofiev’s opera “War and Peace” (director - Calixto Bieito, conductor - Alejo Perez). The performances will take place at the Grand Theater of Geneva on September 13, 15, 17, 19, 21 and 24, 2021.
On October 7, 8, 9 and 10, the Moscow public will be able to see Dmitry on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater in the role of the Varangian guest from N. Rimsky-Korsakov’s opera “Sadko” (directed by Dmitry Chernikov.)
In November, Dmitry will go to Vienna to begin rehearsals for the role of the Grand Inquisitor in G. Verdi's opera Don Carlos. The performances will take place on the stage of the Vienna State Opera on December 16, 19, 22 and 25, 2021. The orchestra will be conducted by Franz Welser-Mös, directed by Daniele Abbado.
In the spring of 2022, Dmitry will return to the stage of the Teatro Real in Madrid. In mid-February, rehearsals will begin for a new production of Sergei Prokofiev’s opera “The Fiery Angel” (directed by Calixto Bieito), in which Dmitry will perform the role of Johann Faust. Performances will take place on March 22, 23, 25, 26, 28, 31 and April 1, 3, 4 and 5, 2022.
