Announcement of upcoming performances. February 2019

In mid-February 2019, Dmitry Ulyanov will travel to Amsterdam to make his debut on the stage of the famous Concertgebouw hall, where he will perform M. Mussorgsky’s vocal cycle “Songs and Dances of Death” for the first time (conducted by Zhan Xian). The concert, which will take place on February 16, 2019, will be broadcast on NPO Radio 4. On February 22 and 23, Dmitry will appear on the stage of the Opera and Ballet Theater. M. Jalil in Kazan, where for the first time he will take part in the XXXVII International Opera Festival named after. F.I. Shalyapin. As part of two gala concerts, Dmitry Ulyanov will perform “Aria of the Varangian Guest” from the opera “Sadko” and the RPP “Along the St. Petersburg” (both works from the repertoire of F.I. Chaliapin).

And from February 26, Dmitry will begin rehearsals for the role of Boris Timofeevich Izmailov in a new production of D. Shostakovich’s opera “Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk” on the stage of the Opera Bastille in Paris. The performances will take place in April 2019 (director - Krzysztof Warlikowski, conductor - Ingo Metzmacher).
