On the 3rd of November the long-awaited premiere of Rossini’s ” Il Barbiere di Siviglia” in a new production by a stage director Evgeny Pisarev and music director Pier Giorgio Morandi took place on the New stage of Bolshoi Theater of Russia . It was the 1st premiere performance of this year for Bolshoi theatre and for Dmitry Ulyanov either. A huge international team worked on this performance, and the result was fantastic-the performance turned out to be bright and airy-fairy! Among the leading actors are Hulkar Sabirova, Andrzej Filonczyk, Bogdan Mihai, Giovanni Romeo.
On November 3, 6 and 8 theatre-goers were able to enjoy performances with Dmitry Ulyanov in the bouffe role of music teacher Don Basilio. And you can find out more in the press review below.
